MODE D'EMPLOI

Installation guide for the karting exhaust probe weld-on fitting

To maximize the efficiency of this karting exhaust insert and your on-trackp erformance, please follow these steps:

  • Preparation:
    Lightly grind the top of the exhaust pipe where the fitting will be positioned to expose the bare metal (install on the upper part of the tube to ensure maximum temperature reading).
  • Fitting:
    Adjust the contact surfaces on the fitting side or create a slight flat spot on the exhaust tube using a hammer and a dolly. The gap between the parts must be minimal.
  • Welding:
    Degrease all parts for a perfect weld, then weld the fitting in place.
  • Drilling:
    After welding the fitting, drill the internal hole for the AIM probe through the exhaust tube. Important: Deburr the hole on the inside of the tube.
  • Finishing:
    Apply high-temperature paint and carefully install your probe. Tighten firmly while ensuring the rigid part of the probe cable is correctly oriented.
