The PFD-550 driver helmet angled bite valve is designed for drivers and teams demanding perfect ergonomics and absolute reliability in racing. Whether used in WEC, GT, Rally-Raid, or Simracing, this critical accessory guarantees immediate access to hydration under the helmet, without unnecessary suction effort and without disrupting the driver's concentration during phases of intense effort.

Aware that the mouthpiece section of the Extrem Drink kit must be adapted to the driver's anatomy as well as the helmet environment, while remaining durable and ergonomic, we have created a unique mouthpiece that provides all the answers to these needs.

Developed specifically for top-tier motorsport, its angled shape eliminates hose kinks and integrates naturally into the cockpit or the helmet's chin guard. It is the ideal component to replace a worn bite valve or optimize the hydration system of an entire crew during endurance races.

This bite valve is an official spare part of our Extrem Drink kit. It is a real asset for effortless suction, allowing the driver to stay focused on driving and the pursuit of performance.

Installation of the Extrem Drink driver helmet angled bite valve

In the context of repeated use in competition or for obvious hygiene reasons, it is necessary to regularly change the driver helmet bite valve of the Extrem Drink hydration system. This replacement of the helmet's mouthpiece ensures system cleanliness and maintains an optimal fluid flow rate for the driver. It is a quick and simple maintenance operation, essential for the compliance of your motorsport equipment.

To install the new component:

  • Removing the old hose: Remove the 2 plastic retaining ties (zip ties) located on the 180° guide.
  • Extracting the system: Take the 180° guide and pull out the hose by pushing the large diameter toward the small one.
  • Disconnecting: Extract the small hose by uncoupling it to release the old bite valve.
  • Preparation: Cut the new hose to length according to the driver's anatomy and preferences.
  • Assembly: Insert the new Ø6 mm hose into the large-diameter hose by about 20 mm to ensure a leak-proof seal.
  • Reassembling the guide: Remount the hoses into the 180° guide in the reverse order of disassembly, then reposition and tighten the 2 new zip ties.

    The operation is complete. Before entering the track or starting any driving session, it is imperative to carry out a compliance test directly on board the cockpit to validate the leak-proof seal and the overall ergonomics of the system.
