The PFD-550 angled bite valve for driver helmet drink systems is engineered for drivers and teams demanding flawless ergonomics and absolute reliability on track. Whether used in WEC, GT, Rally-Raid, or Simracing, this essential accessory guarantees immediate access to hydration inside the helmet—without unnecessary suction effort—preserving driver focus during intense physical exertion.

Because the mouth contact piece must adapt to driver morphology and the helmet interior layout, this angled bite valve features a unique design. Its angled shape sits naturally within the helmet chin bar, keeping it within easy reach of the driver's mouth at all times.

Technical specifications of the driver helmet angled bite valve


This bite valve is an official replacement part for our Extrem Drink kit. It delivers effortless suction, allowing the driver to stay fully focused on driving and peak performance.

Kit Includes:

  • 1 flexible hose with angled support (50 cm length)
  • 1 interchangeable blue bite valve
  • 1 helmet hose retaining clip
  • 2 securing cable ties

MODE D'EMPLOI

Installation of the Extrem Drink driver helmet angled bite valve

Due to repeated competition use and clear hygiene reasons, the driver helmet bite valve on the Extrem Drink hydration system should be replaced regularly. Replacing either the complete assembly or just the blue mouthpiece ensures system cleanliness and maintains optimal fluid flow for the driver. This quick and simple maintenance procedure is essential to keep your motorsport equipment compliant and operating at its best.

Replacing the Blue Bite Valve:

  • Firmly pull the old mouthpiece to extract it from the fitting.
  • Fit the new blue mouthpiece by sliding it over the angled fitting.
  • Rotate the blue mouthpiece to align it with the ideal position for the driver's mouth.

Installing the Angled Hose Section:

  • Disassembling the Old Hose:
    Remove the two plastic securing ties located on the 180° guide.
  • System Extraction:
    Hold the 180° guide and remove the hose assembly by pushing and sliding the smaller diameter tube toward the larger one.
  • Disconnection:
    Uncouple and pull the small hose out from the large hose to free the old angled hose.
  • Preparation:
    Cut the new hose to length based on the driver's morphology and preferences.
  • Assembly:
    Insert the new Ø6mm hose approximately 20mm into the larger-diameter hose to ensure a watertight seal.
  • Reassembling the Guide:
    Reinstall the hoses into the 180° guide by reversing the disassembly steps, then position and tighten two new plastic cable ties.

Once complete, perform a mandatory functional test directly inside the cockpit before taking to the track or starting a session to confirm the overall ergonomics and seal of the system.
