The KCS-405 driver helmet hydration kit is designed for drivers looking for a reliable, quick-to-connect hydration solution compatible with all helmets. Manufactured from High-Density ABS via Stratasys industrial printing, the KCS-405 stands out from generic solutions through the precision of its quick-disconnect yellow plug, designed to eliminate any destructive leverage on the connectors and guarantee absolute reliability during long endurance races.

  • Instant drink connection:
    The technical plug integrates a leak-proof water coupling. It guides and secures the helmet-to-cockpit connection in a fraction of a second, even at night.
  • Compatible with all helmets:
    Adapts to all helmets via a hook-and-loop fastening system, with no drilling or modification to the helmet required.
  • Optimized ergonomics:
    The specific Extrem Motorsport angled bite valve guarantees a perfect mouth grip despite the helmet, even during phases of intense effort. The ergonomics are designed for seamless integration with the helmet to facilitate access to the drink, with no waiting, no effort, and reliably while optimizing onboard volume.

Technical specifications of the driver helmet hydration kit

The KCS-405 driver helmet hydration kit is Extrem Motorsport's simple plug benchmark for drivers and teams demanding reliability and fast intervention. Each component has been tested in real-world conditions on long endurance races.

    Professional-grade High-Density ABS.

    Integrated 180° guide to absorb vibrations and protect the hoses, while ensuring a secure, consistent feel for the driver.

Kit contents:

  • 1 high-resistance yellow helmet "plug", Drink slot only,

MODE D'EMPLOI

Installation of the driver helmet hydration kit KCS-405

  • Positioning of the 180° guide
    Fix the hook-and-loop (velcro) support of the 180° guide onto the helmet, away from the HANS and the doors. Secure the guide firmly to the helmet. This guide absorbs hose vibrations and protects the connections during racing.
  • Fixing the standby plug on the helmet
    Position the hook-and-loop (Velcro) support at the ideal location for the driver and the Driver Assist (never on top). It is recommended to position the yellow plug on the side of the helmet; this location makes entering the cockpit easier and prevents any catching on the roll bar or the door pillar.
  • Customizing the suction
    Position the suction tube with its bite valve (fixed elbow on the hose) according to the driver's morphology and preferences (via the front grille, the empty radio plug slot, hose kept flush with the provided guide, etc.).

    To adjust the length of the small-diameter hose, it is necessary to cut the 2 rilsan ties (zip ties) of the 180° guide and pull out the nested hoses to adjust the length as required.

    The hose guide provided in the kit should be positioned between the foam and the helmet shell at the best spot to keep the hose perfectly flush. Generally, a hook-and-loop fastener is already present there; if not, add it.
  • Adjusting the nipple on the bite valve:
    Positioning the hose on the right or left requires adjusting the positioning angle of the blue nipple for a perfect grip. Simply rotating it is enough.

Final validation:
To allow the drink to arrive, perform a priming suction before any stint. It is imperative to carry out a compliance test of the hydration system on board your race vehicle.
