DESCRIPTION

The helmet interface for high-performance driver hydration

The KDC-400 driver drinking system is much more than a simple hydration kit; it brings together a quick-connect interface, unparalleled ergonomics, and simple, efficient access to your drink. Every detail is engineered for motorsport, developed for the rigors of WEC, GT, or Rally-Raid competition, as well as for Gentleman Drivers, whether racing or on a track day.

This kit allows you to centralize and secure your water and potentially your radio flows into a single system on your helmet.
Unlike other solutions on the market, this driver drinking system is manufactured from High-Density ABS using an industrial printing process (Stratasys), generating high-quality products. The unique design of the plug eliminates any destructive leverage on the connections, ensuring long-term reliability and absolute speed during driver changes or stints in endurance races.

  • Centralized flow management:
The technical "plug" integrates a leak-proof water fitting and provides robust guidance for your radio connectivity.
  • Ease of use:
The overall ergonomics are designed for perfect helmet integration, facilitating access to your drink without delay or effort, while minimizing the onboard volume.
  • Efficiency:
The yellow color is perfectly visible by day and night (and particularly stands out under UV lighting). A Gentleman Driver or the support crew will never have to guess what action to take, preventing any risk of exiting the cockpit while still attached by the helmet.
  • Neutrality and safety:
Used in addition to our Extrem Drink driver hydration kit, this system guarantees a healthy drink with no bad aftertaste, especially in cockpits subjected to high heat.
  • High reliability:
Reliable details and mechanisms designed to eliminate any risk of failure during use, in order to maximize driver hydration and performance.

INFORMATION PRODUIT

Technical specifications of the driver drinking system

The Extrem Drink kit for automobile driver helmets is the precision technical part essential for drivers and teams seeking performance and durability. Every component is robust and has been successfully tested for over 2 years during long sand raids and 24-hour endurance races.

  • Materials:
    Professional-grade High-Density ABS.
  • Design:
180° guide to prevent hose twisting and secure the connection.
  • Weight:
100g (excluding radio cable); the assembly is optimized to avoid any discomfort on the driver's helmet.

Kit contents:

  • 1 high-resistance yellow helmet "plug" with leak-proof water fitting and radio slot, including its tube link and 180° guide (radio cable not included).
  • 1 set of radio cable supports for the helmet.
  • 1 set of self-gripping fasteners (Velcro).
  • 1 set of retaining ties.

The entire system is to be arranged during implementation according to the type of helmet, its vents, the type of radio equipment, and the driver's preference. Depending on the radio connectors used, a minor mechanical adjustment may be required within the yellow plug.

A maintenance service is available to ensure the total longevity of your equipment.

MODE D'EMPLOI

Installation and maintenance of your helmet equipment

For maximum efficiency of your driver drinking system, please read our installation recommendations and adapt them to your specific helmet model.

  • Insert and adjust your radio jack into the yellow plug:
Wrap the radio cable around the drinking hose up to the 180° guide to ensure clean cable management.
Secure the cable onto the "ear" of the 180° guide.
The radio jack should be ideally positioned to ensure a perfect radio connection when the leak-proof drink fitting is connected to the "car plug."
  • Radio cable on the helmet:
Connect the radio jack directly to your helmet.
Attach the 3 cable supports to the rear base of the helmet to secure the radio cable, ensuring no discomfort for the driver, especially when using the HANS system.
At this stage, adjust the winding length of the radio cable around the drinking hose to balance the assembly.
  • Positioning the 180° guide:
Install the self-gripping support (Velcro) for the 180° guide at the ideal location on the helmet and secure the guide firmly.
  • Securing the "plug":
Install the self-gripping support (Velcro) at the ideal location for both the driver and the support crew.
It is highly recommended to position the yellow plug on the side of the helmet rather than on top. This strategic placement facilitates the driver's entry into the cockpit and prevents any risk of snagging on the roll cage or narrow door frames.
  • Suction customization:
Position the mouth suction tube and its bite valve according to the driver’s morphology and preferences (via the front grill, the vacant radio port, etc.).

Final validation: Once installation is complete, it is imperative to perform a compliance test (hydration and radio communication) directly inside the race car to validate the ergonomics and overall functionality (drink + radio) before heading out on track.
