Technical Specifications of the FSP-520 Prototype Roll Cage Driver Drink Mount

The Extrem Drink FSP-520 simple plug roll cage mount is a technical interface specifically developed to address the space constraints of the Nova Proto NP02, a vehicle whose tight clearance around the doors makes any standard body-panel mounting impossible.
By integrating the connection directly into the roll cage, Extrem Motorsport provides a clean, streamlined, and perfectly accessible solution for fast driver swaps. This component allows the driver to be quickly connected to and disconnected from the Extrem Drink hydration supply holder.

  • Protection: Compact anti-leverage design to protect the drink connections.

Installation of the FSP-520 Prototype Roll Cage Driver Drink Mount

  • Hose Routing:
    Route the flexible hose from the roll cage near the bucket seat headrest down to the bottle holder located on the battery cover. The hose path must be clean and free of sharp bends to guarantee optimal drink flow during exertion.

  • Securing the Cable Ties:
    Install the two provided Rilsan cable ties (zip ties) and tighten them fully. These ties keep the hose firmly secured against the roll cage structure, eliminating any risk of slop, movement, or snagging during rapid driver changes.

  • System Validation in Real-World Conditions:
    Once installation is complete, it is imperative to conduct a functional compliance test of the hydration system inside the race car to validate overall ergonomics and system compliance before heading out on track.
