The car or sim racing hydration interface for simplified connection

As a technical spare part, the car double plug drink is an integral part of the Extrem Drink system. It is the essential anchor point for securing your onboard drink and radio connections. Fixed to the roll cage of the race car, a simulator chassis, or any other point of your choice, this interface centralizes your hydration and radio connectors. It allows the driver to couple their helmet instantaneously, guaranteeing maximum reactivity on the starting line or during endurance race stints.

Manufactured from High-Density ABS via an industrial printing process (Stratasys) to ensure high-quality standards, this interface is a robust technical part designed to withstand intense vibrations and the extreme conditions of rally-raids or 24-hour endurance races. This component of the Extrem Drink DSC 200 complete hydration kit protects your fittings and jacks against leverage effects, preventing premature wear of your communication and hydration equipment.

Technical specifications of the double plug - car & sim racing hydration interface


The Extrem Drink DPV-420 double plug stands as the reference driver hydration interface for teams prioritizing efficient onboard flow management. This component allows the driver and co-driver to connect and disconnect their Extrem Drink supply and radio systems (radio cable not included).

  • Material:
    Industrial-grade high-density 3D-printed ABS (Stratasys). The yellow color allows the driver or driver assist to validate connection compliance at a glance. This color is highly sensitive to UV lamps used during night runs.
  • Protection:
    Compact and lightweight anti-leverage design to ensure the connection quality of radio and drink plugs.
  • Reliability:
    Solidly fixed to the car or simulator components, visible in any environment, and easy to handle; all features are combined to satisfy all users.

Kit contents:

  • 1 yellow plug secured by 3 screws/nuts (cockpit/simulator side) to accommodate a female radio connector and a female leak-proof drink fitting.
  • 1 high-resistance self-gripping fastener set to assist with positioning.

Compatibility: Universal connectivity for most radio connectors and quick fittings.

MODE D'EMPLOI

Installation and optimization of your DPV-420 interface

  • Car placement:
    The positioning of this component is secured on the roll cage via 2 plastic ties or using the screw at the back of the plug to be positioned as needed off the roll cage.
    A self-gripping fastener set is provided to ensure precise positioning and to maintain it despite the significant forces experienced by the car and its driver.

  • Simulator placement:
    Ideal for simulator chassis, this component is positioned within reach to facilitate driver entry and exit, harness fitting, and the fastest possible connection to optimize race results.

  • Setup:
    The two half-shells fit very simply around the drink and radio connectors to form a solid and protected unit. Depending on the radio connectors used, a minor mechanical adjustment may be necessary using a Dremel.
    Place a small cable tie between the hose and the drink fitting to ensure perfect retention.
    Secure the 2 shells and tighten the 3 retaining screws.

  • Validations:
    Once installation is complete, it is imperative to perform a compliance test (hydration and radio communication) directly inside the race car to validate ergonomics and overall functionality (drink + radio) before heading out on track.
    Also validate that the chosen location meets everyone's expectations.
