The MBC-700 Magnetic Driver Harness Support was developed by Extrem Motorsport to eliminate this critical stress point. By keeping your straps and buckles perfectly positioned against the roll cage, these accessories guarantee immediate access and a smooth, rapid strapping process. Far more than a standard magnet, this tool is a must-have to transform a driver change into a surgical maneuver, saving precious time and allowing for maximum focus.

Designed for Ø45 mm roll cages (other designs available upon request).

The MBC-700 Magnetic Driver Harness Support is no ordinary magnet; it is a high-performance technical component specifically engineered for cockpit ergonomics in competitive racing (GT2, GT3, GT4, Proto, LMP, etc.).

This powerful magnetic mount allows drivers to position and retrieve their harnesses instantly. It is the preferred choice for racing teams where pit stop efficiency is as crucial as top speed.

No more harnesses stuck behind the seat, shoulders, or the "chips" (seat bolsters)!

  • Optimized Attraction Force:
    Uses high-remanence magnets capable of firmly holding the heaviest harness buckles, even under extreme racing conditions.
  • High-Temperature Design:
    Materials are selected to maintain their magnetic properties and structural integrity within the high-heat environment of a race car cockpit.
  • Ergonomics:
    The magnetic strength is calibrated to provide a secure hold at rest, while allowing the driver to release the strap with a natural, effortless movement.

Installing the Magnetic Driver Harness Support

The MBC-700 magnetic harness support has been designed for quick installation without any permanent modifications. The kit offers an intuitive setup that adapts to all cockpit configurations (GT, Prototype, LMP, as well as Sim Racing, etc.).

For maximum efficiency during driver swaps, follow these preparation steps:

  • Choosing the location:
    Magnetic harness supports are generally positioned on the roll cage, either on the upper section (above the helmet) or on the side bars to assist the driver or the helper. The location should be chosen based on the length of your harness straps.
  • Preparation and fitting:
    Once the ideal position is identified, thoroughly clean and degrease the roll bar. Apply the high-resistance adhesive Velcro (provided in the kit) to the selected spots on the cage. Position the magnetic support on the Velcro and test it. This step allows for millimetric adjustments before final securing.
  • Final securing:
    To guarantee absolute stability despite vibrations and G-forces, the support must be permanently secured. Use 9 mm wide heavy-duty zip ties (Rilsan type) or metal hose clamps. Tighten firmly to lock the support(s) onto the roll cage.
  • Visual optimization:
    We recommend placing a visual marker (fluorescent sticker) on the roll bar next to the support. This allows both the driver and the "driver assist" to instantly spot the magnetic contact zone, even in the dark or during high-pressure pit stops.

Result: A tidy cockpit, harnesses that are always accessible, and guaranteed driver satisfaction from the very first try.
