The Rotax Karting Battery Protection Kit solves the three major issues encountered on track:

  • Total Waterproofing:
    No more random failures or power loss in the rain. The yellow ABS protector and polycarbonate base plate insulate your connections. Specially designed rear vents allow for the evacuation of any potential residual moisture.
  • Anti-discharge Security (Safety Pin):
    Thanks to the removable pin and its high-visibility "Remove Before Flight" streamer, you’ll never be caught off guard by an ignition switch accidentally left "ON". It’s your guarantee of a battery ready to start for every session.
  • Debris Shielding:
    The kit’s full enclosure effectively protects your wiring and electronics from tire rubber (marbles) and gravel impacts, which often cause loose connections or forced pit stops. Even the brake line is securely fastened and protected.

With a total weight of only 210 grams, this kit does not impact your performance—it multiplies the reliability of your Rotax kart!

The kit includes:

  • 1 Transparent Polycarbonate base plate for bottom insulation of the battery compartment and brake line support.
  • 1 Yellow ABS protector, enclosing the battery compartment.
  • 1 Removable safety pin with high-visibility streamer for the ignition switch.
  • 5 Rilsan (zip) ties for secure mounting.

Rotax Karting Battery Protection Kit

In karting, the devil is in the details.
The KPE-910 Battery Protection Kit is an investment in your "peace of mind." It prevents accidental starter engagement during maintenance and protects your expensive, vulnerable components from external elements. It is the must-have accessory for any serious Rotax kart racer.

  • Positioning:
    Place the polycarbonate plate between the battery and the chassis, then position the yellow ABS protector to house the original Rotax cover. The assembly is secured using Rilsan (zip) ties, which are easily replaceable when needed.
    Position the original brake line cable tie and secure it at the rear with a Rilsan tie (refer to photos).
    The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes and simply requires careful attention.
  • Cover Drilling:
    Drill a 5 mm diameter hole in the upper ROTAX cover for the switch pin. Ensure perfect alignment by eye with the ignition switch before drilling.
  • Safety Tip:
    Paint the end of the "OFF" switch in a bright color for instant visual confirmation. This is a simple but undeniable upgrade in quality and safety.
